It was a weekend of very mixed feelings and success with a qualification behind my expectations but solid within my Formula Regional category. In the Sprint Race on Saturday I was crashed out by a car from behind. But thanks to the great repair work done by the team i was able to deliver a competitive Sunday Feature Race finishing on P2 in the Formula Regional category.

I had a good start in the sprint race and was fighting for positions right from the beginning. Unfortunately, I was hit by a car from behind misjudging the braking point into turn 8 (Soratte). The fact that the driver who caused the accident was penalized and had to start Sunday’s feature race from the back of the field did little to console me for having been taken out of the race by a crash after less than one lap.

The Sunday Feature Race was much more successful. The team was able to repair the damaged suspensions and I had to race with a new nose and front wing. The race was more successful and I felt competitive throughout the race. In the end I finished P2 in the Formula Regional category.
